Jersey Shore Animal Center loves Volunteers!
The new volunteer program is complete. We are now excepting applications, the new volunteer applications can be printed here or you may stop by the shelter to pick one up. Please fill out a volunteer application and send it to us at 185 Brick Boulevard, Brick, NJ 08723, or you may fax it over (732) 920-3706.
If you have time in your heart and schedule (and you are 16 years or older), please let us know if you can help out with any of the following:
-Dog Walking (including Agility Pen!)
-Grooming
-Playing with cats
-Fundraising
-Offsite events (could always use volunteers)
-Giving tours to the public
With the new volunteer program in place there have been several changes made to ensure that our animals will be in the proper hands. Once the application has been filled out and submitted, be prepared for a brief (5 to 10 min) phone interview prior to orientation. Once the interview has been competed and reviewed, you will be asked to attend a general orientation. New volunteer orientations will be on a case by case basis.. After orientation you will be able to come in to volunteer for the Jersey Shore Animal Center. Please do not be offended or get upset if the JSAC can not use your services at the moment, as we have many volunteers that are with us already and so many more that apply everyday.
We are also REQUIRING that you commit to 2 hours a week, if you are able to do more then 2 hours that is fantastic. 2 hours is the minimum.
Please keep in mind that space is limited in our conference room, therefore we will only be able to accommodate 10 registrants at each orientation.
Those persons interested in dog walking must attend an additional Dog Walking Orientation. Please contact Jaime to find out the date of the next orientation.
