Jersey Shore Animal Center loves Volunteers!
If you have time in your heart and schedule (and you are 16 years or older), please let us know if you can help out with any of the following:
-Dog Walking (including Agility Pen!)
-Grooming
-Playing with cats
-Fundraising
-Office help
-Giving tours to the public
New volunteer orientations are held the third Sunday of each month at 2PM at the shelter. The next orientation will be held on Sunday, May 18th, 2008. If you are interested in volunteering, please fill out a volunteer application and send it to us at 185 Brick Boulevard, Brick, NJ 08723. Then contact Susan at (732) 920-1600 x208 to confirm your attendence at the next new volunteer orientation.
Volunteers interested in dog walking will be required to attend a separate dog orientation in addition to the general orientation. The next dog orientation will be held on a date yet to be determined here at the shelter. Please contact Susan at (732) 920-1600 x208 to confirm your attendence.

Saturday, May 10th, 2008- JSAC Dog Walk - Ocean County Park - Route 88 - Lakewood, 12PM-3PM
JSAC is coordinating the Dog Walk this year, not Kindred Souls, so additional help will be needed the day of the event including set-up help and help at the registration table, as well as some experienced dog walkers to bring some of the shelter dogs to the event. We'll also have a table there with information about the shelter and pictures of animals available for adoption. We'll need as many volunteers as can help at this event.

Saturday, May 17th, 2008- Belmar Spring Kite Festival - Belmar - 9AM-3PM
3 volunteers are needed to man the table and bring 1-2 shelter dogs to the Belmar Spring Kite Festival at Main Street & 8th Ave. We'll be meeting at the shelter around 8:00AM to pick up everything.

Friday, June 13th, 2008- Doggy Yappy Hour - Ocean County Park, Route 88, Lakewood - 6PM-8PM
3 volunteers are needed to man the table and bring 1-2 shelter dogs to the Doggy Yappy Hour event at Ocean County Park. We'll be meeting at the shelter around 4:30PM to pick up everything.

Spay Neuter Clinic - Monday, July 28th, 2008 - AmVets Hall - Route 571 - Jackson - 8:30AM-3PM
Volunteers are needed throughout the day to sign animals in and out and to sit with them during recovery. Scheduling is flexible, volunteers are welcome to help all day or a few hours, depending on their availability.
