Spay/Neuter Services and Vaccinations

Spaying or neutering your pet is extremely important, not only to curb pet overpopulation, but also for the health of your pet. Spaying and/or neutering greatly reduces, or eliminates the risk of several types of cancer and can help prevent unwanted behaviors such as spraying, fighting and roaming.

Luv My Pet– Low cost Vaccination Service at Petco
Vaccination services are held at Petco stores on Saturdays and Sundays. Please check: or call: (732) 745-1005 for the most current schedule. Luv My Pet provides a wide range of low cost services including vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, feline leukemia and FIV testing, de-worming, fecal testing and micro-chipping.

The Monmouth County SPCA holds a no-exam vaccine and micro-chipping event for dogs and cats every Friday from 10:30 am – 2:00 pm and no appointment is required. Low cost services available are: rabies and distemper vaccines, heartworm testing, FELV/FIV testing and micro-chipping. Please call the MCSPCA with any questions.
Ocean County Health Department – Free Rabies Clinics
Call (732) 341-9700 for more details, dates and locations. Free rabies clinics are offered for healthy dogs and cats with a minimum age requirement of 3 months. If your dog or cat has been previously vaccinated, you must bring proof of prior vaccination with you. Clinics are open to residents of any municipality in Ocean County.
